Terms of Service

Welcome to Riderr. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of our electric skateboard ride-tracking platform, including our mobile and web applications, APIs, and all associated features. Please read them carefully before you ride.
01Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or otherwise accessing or using Riderr (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the operator of Riderr ("we," "us," or "our"). Your continued use of the Service following any updates to these Terms will constitute your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you are accessing the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
02Use of the Service
Riderr grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms. You may use the Service only in compliance with these Terms and all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice. The Service is intended for riders aged 16 and older. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
03Accounts & Anonymous Use
You may use Riderr either by creating an account or in anonymous mode, where rides are stored only on your device and no email or password is required. If you choose to create an account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated. You are solely responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us at [email protected] if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that are found to contain inaccurate or misleading information, or that have been inactive for an extended period of time.
04Ride Data & Content
When you use Riderr to record rides, you generate data including GPS traces, speed metrics, distance measurements, elevation profiles, battery telemetry, and other performance statistics ("Ride Data"). You retain ownership of all Ride Data you create. Riderr operates as a local-first application: your device is the source of truth, and what we receive on the server depends on the privacy tier you select. By uploading Ride Data to the Service, you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, and display that data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. You may export or delete your Ride Data at any time from the app. Aggregated, de-identified statistics may be used by us to improve the Service.
05Subscriptions & Purchases
Core ride tracking is free. Riderr Pro is an optional upgrade sold through the Apple App Store as auto-renewable subscriptions (offered on a monthly and yearly basis) and as a one-time Lifetime purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID upon confirmation of purchase. Auto-renewable subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time through your Apple ID subscription settings; deleting the app does not cancel an active subscription. Where a subscription includes a free trial, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited upon purchase, and the trial automatically converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends. The Lifetime option is a single non-consumable purchase that unlocks Pro features on accounts you own; it is not a subscription and does not renew. Prices may change, and where required we or Apple will notify you and obtain any consent Apple requires before a renewal at a new price. All billing, refunds, and payment disputes are handled by Apple under the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions — we do not process or store your payment card details. Losing Pro status does not delete your rides; encrypted cloud uploads simply pause until Pro is restored.
06Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities: (a) copying, distributing, or disclosing any part of the Service in any medium; (b) using any automated system to access the Service in a manner that sends more request messages to our servers than a human can reasonably produce; (c) transmitting spam or other unsolicited communications; (d) attempting to interfere with, compromise the integrity of, or decipher any transmissions to or from our servers; (e) taking any action that imposes an unreasonable load on our infrastructure; (f) uploading invalid data, viruses, or other harmful code; (g) collecting or harvesting personally identifiable information from the Service; (h) using the Service for any commercial solicitation purposes; or (i) impersonating another person or misrepresenting your affiliation with any person or entity.
07Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without cause and with or without notice, which may result in the loss of access to information associated with your account. If you wish to terminate your account, you may do so by using the account-deletion feature within the app or by emailing [email protected]. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity provisions, and limitations of liability. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
08Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT THE SERVERS THAT MAKE IT AVAILABLE ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. RIDE DATA DISPLAYED IN THE SERVICE — INCLUDING GPS ROUTES, SPEED READINGS, AND BATTERY METRICS — IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND SHOULD NOT BE RELIED UPON FOR SAFETY-CRITICAL DECISIONS.
09Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE OPERATOR OF RIDERR, ITS AFFILIATES, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100) OR THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES OR DAMAGES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
10Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service or by email. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service and, if applicable, delete your account.
